Jaarlijks komen er 2 miljard blikjes op de markt in Nederland. Daarvan belanden er 150 miljoen in het milieu. Tijdens de opruimacties<\/a> die wij organiseren komen wij ook enorm veel blikjes tegen. Hopelijk zullen wij de impact van statiegeld op blikjes ook tegenkomen tijdens het opruimen van onze natuur. Statistieken laten zien dat statiegeld werkt in Scandinavische landen, daar wordt een inleverpercentage van 90% gemeld na de invoer van statiegeld.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Verwerken van de blikjes<\/h4>\n

De producenten van blikjes moeten zelf een systeem opzetten om blikjes te verzamelen om vervolgens te kunnen recyclen. Het fijne aan aluminium blikjes is dat ze goed kunnen worden omgesmolten om hergebruikt te worden in nieuwe blikjes. In Nederland hebben we niet genoeg middelen om nieuwe blikjes te maken. We zullen de blikjes omsmelten naar broden aluminium. Deze broden zullen vervolgens aan landen als Duitsland of Frankrijk worden verkocht. Daar zullen er nieuwe blikjes van gemaakt worden.<\/p>\n

De prijs van een 6 pack<\/h4>\n

Consumenten zullen het statiegeld ook gaan merken in de winkels. Zo zal een sixpack bier 90 cent duurder worden. Een tray wordt drie euro zestig duurder. Maar dit geld krijg je natuurlijk terug bij het inleveren van de blikjes. Het loont natuurlijk ook om blikjes uit de natuur te halen en deze in te leveren. Zo kan je zelfs zorgen voor een gratis sixpack.<\/p>\n

Afbreekbaar<\/h4>\n

Het duurt gemiddeld 200 jaar voordat een blikje drinken afgebroken is in de natuur. Dit zorgt voor veel problemen bij al het oceaanleven. Statiegeld is een goede eerste stap maar onderzoek laat zien dat ook na de invoer nog 10% van de blikjes niet wordt ingeleverd. Een groot deel zal belanden in de prullenbak, maar we zien ook veel blikjes weggegooid worden in de natuur. Er zal dus een gedragsverandering moeten plaatsvinden. Dus gooi jij zelf wel eens een blikje weg in de natuur of zie je andere het doen? Neem het blikje mee naar een prullenbak of spreek iemand aan op zijn of haar gedrag. Want dat ene blikje kan zomaar voor 200 jaar problemen opleveren bij allerlei dieren!<\/p>\n
